If paid online were u supposed to receive an email about it? All mine said was thank u for purchasing the bottle and it did take it out of my checking for both forgotten island and 110k.

Probably a good bet to be safe, especially when coming from such long distances. Hell I print my confirmation and bring it and I work 3 minutes away.

I'll be heading over next weekend. I've paid for everything online and will have confirmations in hand just to be on the safe side.

I received a confirmation e-mail for the bottle of FI and and an email that had an attachment(which was an actual ticket) for the 100K.

I had a similar but "sort of opposite experience" (I'll try to explain below) last night in picking up some bottles.

Fiance and I are Catador members. We live over in Pinellas. Hadn't picked up our Forgotten Island or t-shirts yet. I also won the lottery to get ONE bottle of "110K+OT, Batch 6". I won the lottery with my Catador e-mail. We didn't try to win the lottery with her e-mail at all. So, when I got the e-mail that I was a winner, I chose the option to pick up at the tasting room by 9/10. We had to go to Tampa last night, so we decided to go to CCB to pick up all our stuff.

My name and fiance's name were in the book for the Forgotten Island and the t-shirts. I signed for all that. The bartender couldn't find my name in the book for the 110K+OT. I handed her my eventbrite ticket that showed my reservation for it. She went towards the back (or wherever), and came back with TWO bottles of 110K+OT. She also found my name on the list. I explained I only was in the lottery for ONE bottle. She seemed sort of confused and still thought I was eligible for TWO. I told her I only wanted one (inventory is WAY out of control at the house as it is). She gave me the one bottle, I gave her my credit card, paid and left.

Anyway, not sure why my name wasn't in the book (at first check), but it all worked out in the end.

All's well that ends well.

I am proud of you, most beer geeks on here would have paid for a taken both bottles. You have added to your beer karma!

Well, if the fiance wasn't there, maybe I would have bought both! :grinning:

    Nah, just kidding. :stuck_out_tongue:

There was a guy at the counter watching it all go down, though, and commented that he was fifteen minutes late in sending off his e-mail, and missed the cut. He said to the bartender, "I'll take that extra bottle!". She continued down the bar and basically told him, "Ahhhh, I don't think so."

I felt kind of bad for him. :slight_frown:

Wow sounds like their "list" is off on the 110k. I better make sure I take my printed eventbrite confirmation when I go pick mine up.

I don't understand how the process could be made any easier, or how anyone could be confused by it. Did you enter your credit card info and get a confirmation email? Great it's purchased. They don't have you on a list at the store? Who doesn't have a smart phone with email access nowadays. It (should be) in your email show them.

The list is exported directly from Eventbrite. If you purchased or reserved your bottle, you'd receive a confirmation and will definitely be on the list. The bartender thought he was saying the paper confirmation was for his fiancee, so it was just a misunderstanding. It can get confusing with all the different options for pickup and we are working on ways to make it easy for everyone for future releases.

So obviously my concerns about these lists are warranted and I kinda wish I had my extra bottles. But again, all good - ill just be over super OCD prepared next time. I just used the extra money on more Zhukov & Cafe Americana.

Since you haven't said that you found your confirmation email or confirmed with your Eventbrite order history, I am led to believe it is because YOU screwed up the order. If this is the case, I think you owe the CCB guys an apology for publicly calling them out when it was completely unwarranted.

That makes sense. I had mentioned it was for me, and only one bottle, but I can be a bit softspoken and she probably couldn't hear me - was a bit loud in there too. I have two volumes... 1  and 11  .

Ug I hate posting in the middle of these things, but they state very clearly on the initial email for those who were selected to receive a bottle of 110k that regardless of which option you chose, to pay online or in store, you would receive a confirmation email. It was step #11 on the email they sent out with the link to Eventbrite. Common sense would dictate one would read the entire email carefully, especially when coming from a long distance to retrieve purchases, and maybe its my OCD nature, but whenever I purchase something online to be picked up at a later date, I always print a copy of my receipt / confirmation to avoid confusion and issues. Taking passive aggressive jabs isn't going to change or solve anything. My suggestion would be to stop posting on this thread, wait until you get home, and then check your records. Then sort it out with CCB directly. That way, there won't be anymore trolling here, and this thread can just fade into the background, as it should. Beer Advocate can be a great forum to post, get feedback and help when you have been wronged, but it seems that hasn't even been established yet.

Alright, now that've stuffed myself to holy hell..

-I signed up to pick up, got no confirmation email.
-Another guy signed up & paid online, didn't get an email.
-Guy signs up for only 1, wasn't even on the list for 1, had confirmation, then almost gets 2.
-The Catador Club director said other people have been having the same problems.

We're all a fairly intelligent bunch. I'm just recapping.
