I'm confused if OP read the article or not. Kopi Luwak is come of the best coffee I've ever had.

Calvados takes it to a whole 'nother level.

Only if there is reason to believe our ancestors managed to use it in a fermented beer-like beverage.

Part of it (supposedly) is superior bean selection (at least with the kopi luwak cofee)

"Producers of the coffee beans argue that the process may improve coffee through two mechanisms, selection and digestion. Selection occurs if the civets choose to eat coffee cherries containing better beans. Digestive mechanisms may improve the flavor profile of the coffee beans that have been eaten. The civet eats the berries for the beans' fleshy pulp, then in the digestive tract, fermentation occurs. The civet's proteolytic enzymes seep into the beans, making shorter peptides and more free amino acids."

Yeah I read the article and have heard of kopi luwak as well, both are foul IMO.
If that's what you enjoy and can afford to pay; knock yourself the hell out!
For me, well I'll just stick with Starbucks or Peet's coffee.

    I love the label.

The name of the beer is Un, Kono Kuro, which is translates to "Yeah, This is Black". It's a pun on Unko No Kuro, which translates to "Shit Black". At least they're having fun.

I love the reviews on these beers. I'll need to keep in mind when reading future reviews. Earthy and smoky = turds.

Couldn't they feed the beans to a mouse first for the full Turducken layered effect? And have Madden endorse it?
