I see an online store selling 275ml bottles for US$3.99.
I have a bottle to drink at some point so will let you know
Not a bad price to be fair
I paid the equivalent of $3 + delivery direct from Harveys
A good English style barely wine IMHO. Price may seem a bit high but I'm sure its super rare Stateside and even here its about £2 (approx $3.20) a bottle so the mark up isn't too high.
I'm going to give it a try.
I see they also carry Timothy Landlord...that pretty much seals the deal.
What's the shop Bill? I'm curious.
Just cracked this open and I have to say I'm quite impressed by it!
A great VFM old style barley wine which I gave 3.8/5 to.
Of note the bottle I had was badged as 1952-2012 to commemorate the queens diamond jubilee. Says it is the original recipe from 1952 and is at 7.5% ABV where as other recent versions were 8.1 - 8.3 % ABV.
Not sure whether the bottles you have over in the states might be older ones?
I'll check it out Thursday when I call the order in. VFM...value for money?
Gawd, it was Vintage Cellars in VA. 1 year later....my bad.
No problem. I actually pass through this area a few times a year but don't very often visit VC. I'll have to give it a run-through in the next couple months. Cheers
