My wife told me that ECB in Keene, NH has promoted Ryan Mullet to their new head brewer. So first of all I would like to welcome him and wish him good luck. My question is will Bill Dunn be taking a new position somewhere else or did he retire? I also wish him good luck and thank him for all the wonderful beer and conversations we've had at the pub.

    From Elm City's Facebook page:

Then someone asked, "Where's Bill Going?"

I'd be curious to hear anything you find out. Elm City and Bill Dunn's beers seem to fly under the radar on BA, but in the few visits I've made there, I've really enjoyed them and the space. Their No Name IPA and Monadnock Ale were personal favorites, but I've enjoyed their true-to-style beers across the board--nice, clean, no-nonsense beers. Anyway, I wish Ben, Bill and Elm City the best, and look forward to visiting again and hopefully seeing them at the NH Brew Fest in Portsmouth in October.

While it's always sad to see an accomplished veteran brewer leave or retire, it is exciting to add Elm City to the list (including Moat Mountain and Portsmouth Brewery) of NH breweries that have recently elevated their assistant brewers to the top spot--good to see a new generation of homegrown talent emerging in the state.
