When do these start hitting shelves?? Wouldn't mind trading for all of them once they come out!

    From a July press release:

"It may be barely mid-summer, but pumpkin season isn’t far off. Blame some of the big national producers if you need a scapegoat–or the fact that people just plain want it–but the delicious reality is that Elysian Brewing Company’s 2014 lineup of pumpkin beers will be hitting shelves beginning with its flagship pumpkin brew Night Owl this August 1. Brewed with over seven pounds of Oregon pumpkin per barrel and spiced with the classic pie blend of cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cloves and allspice, Night Owl will be available in six-packs, 22-ounce bottles and on draft in all of Elysian’s markets throughout the Northwest and beyond.

Never a crew to settle for one of pretty much anything, Elysian will be issuing three other beers to round out its Pumpkin Patch selection in 22-ounce bottles and on draft. Two Great American Beer Festival silver medal winners, The Great Pumpkin Imperial Pumpkin Ale (2007) and Dark o’ the Moon Pumpkin Stout (2010) are back by demand, and this year they’re joined by Punkuccino, a spiced coffee pumpkin ale, one of last year’s popular favorites at Elysian’s Great Pumpkin Beer Festival. Look for them in single bottles around September 1."

The last line of that made me happy. 99 Bottles posted a pic of Great Pumpkin, Dark o' the Moon, and Punkuccino on Facebook today, so I guess they are out in the wild.

I got some in Tacoma over the weekend, so I'm assuming it will hit more places soon.

Now if only we can get these awesome brews in SE Alaska! Night Owl is here, where's the rest of these stellar brews? Not necessarily directed at you more towards my distro (I hope to God, that they're looking at this thread, unsure if brewers really look at this sort of thing). I'm in Sitka and I have a real beer geek friend in Juneau that would suck down almost anything that Elysian puts out.

Last year we got a 4 bottle sampler pack up here in Anchorage, I hope they do something similar. It seems you just never know what will hit the shelves in Alaska. Plenty of Rogue taking up shelf space that could be used for more pumpkin beers....

I haven't seen anyone post the sampler this year - I think they went away from that. Probably since only the Punkuccino is different.

Well that is a shame. Hopefully I will see Punkuccino and get to try that one.

Picked up a Punkuccino at WF Bend for $4.49 today; seemed like a screw up since DotM was $8.99 :open_mouth: but it was one of the beer dudes who told me about it.

I would have purchased Punkuccino for $4.49!
But I'm not buying it at $9.99. I saw it at Total yesterday and said no way. If I want to try it I'd rather go have a pint on tap.
I'll wait until Great Pumpkin is out. I'll buy a whole bunch of those for $5 each.

Anyone else feeling indifferent to pumpkin beers this year? Let's just skip to the winter ales, please.

Well, apparently Hopworks agrees with you since I see their Abominable is out now. Seems a little early, but I'm fine with it as it's the only beer from them I regularly purchase.
