Fairly certain le terroir has been on at Brouwers at one or two of the last fests - definitely had it recently, still tasting great

I may have made that up, but Eric's Ale was definitely on at the Dray in May and that beer is pretty awesome too.

They had it at Big Wood. Probably from the same batch that was tapped at the brewery in Ft Collins earlier this year.

I actually liked the "sour" persimmon. It's not a puckery sour to be sure, but it was really nice when it warmed up a bit.

Given Dick Cantwell and his crews track record, I'd say we all owe them the benefit of the doubt. I'm very excited and impressed by Elysians commitment to pushing boundaries. Remember, you may not love each beer but that does not mean that the beer is not well made. Elysian Brewing are masters of beer and the fouder program will inspire all of us to up our game...typical for Elysians influence...one step ahead.

    A classy response, Texwild.

Respect them for the fun stuff they do, but there are plenty of Elysian beers I can't get into. I'm way more excited to see how your Fremont sours turn out. But as soon as any brewer in WA starts getting consistently good sours I would be their biggest supporter, and still will try every WA sour that comes out.

Super excited for this. I love Elysian as a brewery. Sure, some of their beers are subpar, but a lot are great. And they make more beers than anyone else. They are also super committed to hosting events and trying new things. Respect

Elysian is still a top 3 WA brewery for me. Once you get past Immortal, they make some pretty amazing beer, and their brewpubs are some of the best I've been to. Looking forward to going to Tangletown tomorrow to try Tart de Elysee

I had it last week at Tangletown. Not bad at all.

Clearly you have had nothing sour from Snipes Mountain. Their Quinceanera sours (I believe there are 3 or 4) are insanely good.

I've got a bottle of Snipes' Twangzister... just debating when I should open it...

I'm a fan of Elysian . Can't wait to try . Just wish we had more of their beers here, in PA .

It's kinda bizarre how many places in OR have pretty great sour programs (Cascade, Ale Apothecary, De Garde, Block 15, Breakside, Upright, Logsdon) while up here in WA I can't think of a single place that has managed to turn out consistently good sours (or turn out sours consistently period).

Elysian CAN do great beer, but I do find a lot of their stuff to be pretty mediocre. That said, I'm excited to see what they can do. I also hope we see more WA places developing sour programs...
