Elysian Wasteland Elderflower Saison and Elysian Split Shot Espresso Milk Stout just tapped on Monday at the Alberta Street Public House (11th & Alberta). Both are $3 during Happy Hour 5-8 along with GF Hop Head red. Also, we're axing Harp and Kilkenny and replacing them both with Heater Allen Pils and Migration Clem's Creme. A complete 20-draught list will be posted when this happens but for now I'm too embarrassed to include those on our full list so I'm just waiting for them to blow. It's taking forever!!

I had Wasteland on tap today at Elysian Tangletown. This is a kickass beer, even if it only remotely resembles a saison.

Yeah I really liked it! They know what they're doing up there at Elysian!

I liked it, but it's rather unlike any other Saison. Splitshot, on the other hand, I hated. The coffee just over-dominated the flavors. Couldn't taste the beer at all. I appreciate Elysian trying different things on a regular basis and always stop by Elysian Fields when going to watch the Mariners coug it.

On an unrelated note, best thoughts and condolences to Elysian's brewer Dick Cantwell on the loss of his son, Nap.

I haven't cracked open my bomber yet, so I really thought the waitress screwed up and brought me an IPA the other day.

Well, I didn't think IPA, but then again, I wasn't sure what to think. This may be the Rohrshach Test of beers, you see in it what you want to see in it.
