With threes, folksbier, wild east, grimm and now these guys, Brooklyn is becoming a haven for these understated styles. Makes sense as the marker seems to be shifting that way a little as a whole.

Wild East is the one to keep an eye for, for sure.

Speaking of Endless Life and Wild East, below is a quote from We Asked 14 Brewers: What’s the Best Pilsner You’ve Ever Had?

“I’d be hard pressed to think of a style I love more than Czech-style pilsner, and when Wild East first released its take, Patience & Fortitude, it was excellent. But after a few iterations and some minor tweaks, this beer has become amazing. Double decocting the mash ensures all of the delicate malt flavors come through beautifully. There is just enough bitterness to balance the sweet, crackery grain profile. The slightest bit of yeast character assures you that it was properly fermented and lagered to perfection. I don’t know if this pilsner can be made any better, but I look forward to continually tasting it to find out.” —Jeff Lyons, Owner and Head Brewer, Endless Life Brewing, Brooklyn

Yes! It's nice to have a brewery in the neighborhood. Really enjoyed the maibock and Mexican-style lager. They have a small backyard too.

Finally made it to the brewery in the early afternoon today. The place is great, only wish there were other customers besides my wife and me while we were there. Everything we tried was interesting and refreshing. And we tried everything on tap plus a pilsner from a can, including a special version of their Mexican lager with added lime. All the beers look unfiltered, with a full-flavored young taste, somewhat unlike the original styles. We ended up taking home 4-packs of the Kolsch and the Pilsner.

Just had a similar experience last night, and also bumping this thread because I want them to succeed - the beer was very good, the backyard is fantastic, the indoors seemed very mellow as well, and for most of the night we were unfortunately the only people there. But a menu full of well balanced lagers, and reasonably priced farmhouse and mixed fermentation beers? Yes! More places like this please. Would definitely recommend (and, if looking to combine with other spots, very easy trip from there to Mekelburgs, or Beer Street South, or Covenhoven, or Hops Hill, or I'm sure other places I am forgetting . . .)
