Well that settles it then. Another brewery lying about the ABV. You hate to see it folks. Hate to see it.

Anyone interested in these pastry berliners needs to check out the new ones from Energy City. Better balance between the adjuncts than any other ones I've tried (and most stouts). Strawberry and Blueberry pancakes is my favorite of the two.

pink guava blood orange bistro grande is probaly the best they've done for this series. huge blood orange fan and it shines. damn near perfect carb and mouthfeel here.

is it actually tart? I bought the mango banana one and I feel like I’m drinking Jamba Juice

To be fair, it's probably cheaper than Jamba Juice on an oz for oz basis.

Untitled art imperial mango pineapple at 9% and couldn’t tell.

I can believe it because I can really taste booze on a lot of mixed drinks which I’m guessing are way above 10%

i am loaded with beer, i really don't need anymore right now.

the orange sorbet with vanilla this weekend is calling my name though. was a huge fan of the original orange sorbet, interested to see how the vanilla works out in it.

I was not a fan of the previous Sorbet IPA's, the Mango and the Orange. The Mango was way too sweet. They said they did not use any sugar or juice but it didn't taste that way. The Orange was alright. Was more like a beer mimosa than anything, which is what I think they were going for but I just wasn't a fan.

I was not a fan of Mango at all. Enjoyed the hell out of Orange. I'm a huge orange juice fan though so that plays into it.

I’m beginning to think this brewery realizes they haven’t had much luck with the standard neipas, and are just throwing tons of fruit at everything they make.

Someone asked on Instagram last week where some of their standard milkshake offerings are. Asked about pineapple milkshake specifically.

Energy City respond "We've been getting away from milkshakes now that we're doing the post-fermentation fruited beers"

    So you aren't wrong...

I haven’t revisited their hoppy beers in awhile but back in the bomber days some of their IPA’s were pretty good. But I can’t blame them for doing what gets people lined up in their cars every Saturday. Can that be sustained in the fall when the weather turns? Locally that style hasn’t sold as well outside of summer but maybe they’ll pivot back to stouts, etc then

I had one of the first small batches of Hop Jon and it was a really good pale.

Hi everyone! West coast guy here. I have friends that live in Chicago so I might be interested in having them pick up some of these great looking beers for me. I see this brewery is about an hour west of the city. According to their website it looks like their beers are distributed throughout Chicago and the surrounding areas. Are these cans pretty easy to acquire? I see some of their beers only have a few ratings, so do they release or keep certain beers exclusive and sell them only at their brewery? Any help/guidance would be much appreciated! Thank you!

Some of their beers are super small batches (plastic bottles and sold directly from the brewery). Your friends can find some of their fruited beers if they look in the right bottle shops. But yeah their drive thru at the brewery on Saturday is the only lock

I haven't been seeing many of their recent releases making it to distro, I think theyve been selling out at the brewery.

A buddy of mine who lives downtown actually put in an order for this weekend because of this. I'm local so I will proxy when I grab mine.

My two cents is go a town over and get Riverlands.
