Hello friends, first time post here!

Nashville has grown beer wise in a lot of ways. In some ways its a tad behind. My favorite burger joint has the Schlafly(my fav brewery) Winter ESB which I've failed to since then find. In fact, I'm having a hard time finding any English Bitters in town. I have had one other which failed to live up to the Schlafly which was the Left Hand Sawtooth Nitro. Any Tennesseans out there with a cure?

    Thanks all!
    Kc

I stopped by the Hop Stop on the east side recently and had Tennessee Brew Work's Extra Easy ESB. It wasn't too bad. Other than that I'm not familiar with most places around carrying a good ESB. Not to say there isn't though.

Thanks man! You mean in Easty Nashville? I hadn't heard of that! Thats cool. Yeah, I have the Pharmacy to thank for this dying thirst.

Yeah out in "East Nasty". The Pharmacy is by far one of my favorite places in the summer time just to drink in the beer garden. Stop in to the Hop Stop one day though. They offer half pints just so you can try the menu without commiting too much. I'm not sure yet how often the menu changes but they do have Straight To Ale's Wernher Von Brown Ale. One of my local beer joint favorites.

Thank you my friend! See you out and about..speaking of Summer Outside Drinking-you ready for that weather? Jeez! Drinking stouts on the couch while it ice's outside.

I definitely have cabin fever, but you're right. Nothing a stout can't fix. Good luck in your hunt for ESBs. Living in TN is rough for beer lovers.

Is John Smith's and Boddington's available?

I'm a beer lover and live in Tennessee...not like there is plenty to drink here. Not saying it's Portland or Denver, but c'mon on...

In Memphis the High Cotton ESB is the best bitter I've had anywhere.

I'm going to have to make a short trip in that case. My experience with ESB's is low at best.

Just re-read this...Meant to say "not like there ISN"T plenty to drink here". Tennessee isn't the beer wasteland that some like to make it out to be.

Thanks Memphischas! Volnititan-agreed. I'm from AR which is mostly dry county. Nashville is solid. I have little to compare to though...I just picked up some Ten Fidy and some Lagunitas Pils at Midtown Wine/Spirts today. Stoked to try it out
