All I knew of was gone release day. Pipers just kicked their keg. Bocktown Robinson is doing draft on 2/7
I got a couple bottles at D's on Tuesday. I went back Wednesday and they were gone. I had it on tap at Sharp Edge on Friday night. I think you can get a growler filled there too, if they still have it. I've also seen it pop up on my Untappd app at Mad Mex, Fatheads, Smiling Moose and Smokin' Joes.
I believe Shaler Giant Eagle was going to get some in but I do not know if this is a thing that is still to happen or happened already and may be gone.
What were they charging at Mad Mex? Their prices on some things always seem crazy to me. I think it's so their half off happy hour can work.
It was still on tap at Smokin Joe's as of yesterday afternoon (got a growler of it in fact). The bartender indicated that the keg was still pretty full, so I would expect it'll be around for at least a few more days.
99 Bottles in Carnegie got one case in yesterday (Monday). I bought one late last night - $15. Apparently, half the case was sold already by then. Probably still have at least three or four bottles left right now.
Compare that price and the Mad Mex price with the Pipers Pub price of $5.75 for a pint. That's why I love Pipers.
Pipers is great, no doubt (it's always my first stop whenever I drive up from Morgantown). I just wish their draft list was a bit more exciting at times. I stopped by on Monday (the Enjoy By was long gone), and Racer 5 and Two hearted were about the best IPA items I saw. I stop by usually a couple times a month, and I'd say that close to two thirds of the current line-up is what they had on tap back in early December. They always have something interesting on draft (cask East End Snow Melt last time I was in), but overall, I find the draft list at Smokin Joe's to be a bit more diverse and interesting. They're no more than a 5 minute walk from one another, so typically I stop by both whenever I'm up from Morgantown. Food at Pipers is definitely superior!
Found a case of it in Eastern Pa today, was only delivered this morning evidently. So maybe there's some floating around in Pittsburgh.
