I recently bought a Belgian Saison Kit from a homebew shop. It only came with two ounces of hops, German Hallertau and German Perle hop pellets. I will be making a 5 gallon batch of beer. I know that kits tend to come with less hops than usually desired. I want to know if I should buy one or two more ounces of hops?

It all depends on what you want the beer to taste like. 2 oz of Hallertau and Perle sounds about right for a saison to me. Both of those are relatively "light" hops but if you are brewing a saison, typically it is the yeast that you want to take center stage.

The yeast I will be using is Wyeast 3726 Farmhouse

It really depends on your goal for the beer, some people like their saisons hoppier than others. For my average mid gravity saison I generally use about 2 oz at flameout and bitter to about 25-30 IBUs, some people use less in some beers, some use more, some use a lot more, it just depends on what you're trying to brew.

It's certainly enough to ensure that the beer is preserved. Beyond that, it's a matter of taste.

Do you have a commercial example that you like? If so you can look on their website and maybe get an idea of how many IBUs you should be shooting for.
