Summer is here with its rounds of al fresco fetes. For many of us this means making some tough calls. Do we generously open our stash of tasty and pricey beer to our less refined acquaintances? Bring plenty of a cheap national brand to the backyard bbq? How about growlers of a single type that we love and fits the occasion well? I definitely feel obligated to bring something that I know I will like rather than struggle through something unpalatable. Failing that I get to be the hero of the hour and be the designated driver and kiddie wrangler. So what do you guys do to elevate the beer at those big summer parties without breaking the bank? Because frankly this quandary has me wanting to stay home and enjoy my beer and air conditioning alone.

Start homebrewing and you'll become very popular. I have a friend who does much more volume than me and he is known to bring a jockey box and kegs as donations to parties even if he's not hosting.

Sierra Nevada or similar. Throw in a few from your stash so it is a clear variety offering

My go place for beer everyday is the local beer guy but if I have to buy for a bigger get together for folks that may be a little less "beer savvy" try the local Costco----

Case of Hoppyum IPA (Foothills) 27$
    Case of SNPA 24$

    Anyone can afford that:slight_smile:.
