an amazing stout holds it's own with the likes of. stone and north coast.8.99 but worth it in my own opinion

I've seen it quite a bit, but reluctant to grab one at that price and be disappointed . So glad you shared your review ! Thanks for the heads up. Might pick one up this weekend. Cheers

Love the big bad baptist, so only fitting this is good too. Wonder if it's the non barrel aged version of the Baptist......

I've had them side by side, and while I don't know if its the baptist base beer (given how Epic's batches vary I would be surprised if it was) , it does have a lot of similarities to BBB. The levels of roast to sweetness and hop profile/bitterness are really close. BBB is a lot creamier and the the barrel notes combined with the coffee and cacao pushing it into a very different place. They both throw out very similar fruity notes when warm though. Ironically BBB actually hides it alcohol a bit better

This is definitely a top shelf non-ba Imperial Stout though.

Still working our way through the "Brainless" series, but glad to hear at least something of their general stock is potentially worthwhile.

It's a good beer, but it's not rare.
