What an awesome night! A big thank you to Greg (Jawzman) for opening your restaurant to us BAs. It was awesome to meet all the new faces and good to see all the old faces! Everyone brought an awesome selection and some whalez to boot. Hopefully next year there will be an epic stout tasting 5!

After a full day of chasing, I finally have a second to sit down. Relating to the party, I need to show my appreciation, share my experience, and give my shout outs. This maybe long winded.

First and foremost, a BIG thank you to our host Greg! Thanks for organizing the event, the food, the drink, the conversation, and just a place for 30-40 of us beer chasers to gather comfortably out of the elements. Greg was on fire when we arrived last night! He was busy catering to a rather busy crowd in his dining room, getting things setup and put together in our beer geek space, and greeting/entertaining us arriving in the process. To say the least, he had his running shoes on. Thanks to his staff, we had carafes of water constantly filled, complimentary food set out, bussing of our tables. It's events such as these that keep me interested in the beer community. Thank you! Thank you! THANK YOU!

To all my brothers and sisters, thanks for all your shares and conversation. Give me a pour of any of the beers that were flowing last night, your company, and I'll be happy. Met a few people for the first time in person last night. I'm always up for a beer so don't be shy. And I tip my glass to those who went even further by preparing food for the event. Brownies, cupcakes, and who made up that Habanero Sculpin Beer Cheese Dip? Sweet treats!

For those of you who are curious about the brews flowing last night, I have a perfect example. One of the first things to hit the table was a filled to the brim pitcher (yes, pitcher!) of BA Silhouette. A good majority of this pitcher was drank within the first half hour. But for the remainder of the night it slowly diminished. At closing, I'd say there may have been 1/8 of the pitcher left. Need not to worry, this nectar didn't go to waste as my wing man took care of it. Straight from the pitcher to wordhole, it was polished off

Alright, so as usual, I'll give you my short list of "what I learned last night":

    1. There are too many Ryan's in the beer world.
    2. Never turn down a chef's invitation to a beer event. And from previous experiences, this also applies to camping invitations.
    3. There are too many Ryan's in the beer world.
    4. Never attempt to charm "Back Fat" with a pour of your beer as he has cases of it at home.
    5. There are too many Ryan's in the beer world.
    6. A good wing man to have at a beer event is one who travels a lot for work. It's amazing what turns up in your glass.
    7. There are too...okay, getting too old!

One thing I can say after this experience is that I hope there will be another Epic Stout Tasting in the future. I'm hoping Greg got just as much out of this as I/we did. I for one can say that unless there's something else that would conflict with my schedule, I'd be more than thrilled to attend again if invited.

Again, thanks to Greg and his staff for the warm and welcoming environment. Thanks to all of you who attended for your shares of glorified water and pep talks. And thanks to me for being the best Ryan

As a Ryan that has never been, I should probably attend this next year if it happens.

Someone had some non-hangover drank last night and didn't give me any.. so whomever that was, I hate you.

Pretty damn good time; loved catching up with friends I haven't seen in a while, and meeting new ones. The beers were pretty good, too!

Thanks to Greg for hosting - I had a great time, and it was awesome to check so many great beers off my "must try" list! So worth the trip!

If anyone is missing beer - my husband grabbed a red Darkness bag that had two bottles of Terrapin in it at the end of the night (not sure if it was someone he was sober-cabbing for, and honestly by the end of the night I'm not even sure who those people were). Shoot me a DM with the beer names to claim! There was also an empty Town Hall growler.

Thanks again - you folks were great!

@Centinela those would be mine! Did I get them to the vehicle at least?

On the topic of missing items... Did anyone happen to find a Tupperware container and two tasting glasses in their possession Sunday morning? A funky Buddha and Casanova? They're not here, nor in the possession of the guy who brought them. Thanks y'all.

The Habanero Sculpin Beer Cheese Dip was mine. Glad you enjoyed it! Sadly, I have no idea what happened to the tupperware that the dip was in. I'd like to track it down before the Wife even notices it is missing! haha. Let me know if you have it, or have any information as to what I may have done with it under the fog of war.

Turns out we left the glassware in the Red Wing Taxi Cab on the way home, along with a cupcake mess. (LOL). Looks like the ride home just got a bit more expensive (still worth it!).

But @biglobo is right... you simply cannot try everything at an epic tasting. You'd be visiting the bathroom and/or the er

I just checked and I'm missing a BT from 2012/13. It was on a table and never opened. I thought I took it with me but I did not. If anyone grabbed it, it would be great to get it back. Thanks.
