Anyone have the 8/23 canning run of epiphany and find it way off from other batches? Literally one of my favorite NE hops when I had it a few months ago, but this can is crystal clear, somewhat lifeless, and not fitting the NE profile at all. Bad can? Bad batch? Hopefully not a repeat of #trilltravesty2015
Interesting you should mention this. I was given a 32 oz growler this weekend and cracked it last night during my fantasy draft. This was my first time trying it and I was definitely expecting something different than what I experienced. Crystal clear and not much punch to it. Again, it was my first time having it so I don't have anything to compare.
I've had epiphany a lot, its generally clearish (not like trill or treehouse), but there have certainly been batch variations. I haven't opened the 8/23 cans I bought yet, but will post if anything is radically different from previous batches.
The cans I had from 8/9 were pretty clear and very different from how I remember having it on draft in July.
I had an 8/23 can last night, tasted to me to be similar to what I remember. Fairly clear as I also remember. Based on a quick review of my untappd, it seems like the draft version is much more cloudy than the canned version for whatever reason.
