Energy evolved might be their best ipa this year. Has that bubblegum aspect i only get from tree house ipas. I was blown away from that one. I was the biggest fan of fluctuation as it tastes like mango nectar but recently experience a oxidized can. Doesn't help that they release 10 different ipas a week and its a shot in the dark

 

On the plus side, at least this thread is calibrating my expectations while I wait to hear more on my broken bottle(s). Time to compile materials for the credit card challenge it seems I'm destined to file.

 

To be completely transparent on the whole situation. My friends and I purchased 2 cases that we split amongst ourselves. Out of the 48 cans we received, 17 of them were damaged, albeit not as bad as that one particular can. Regardless, we had some concerns that the damage would have an impact on the beer so we decided to drink them sooner then we all wanted.

Upon arrival I contacted EQ's customer service and it took a pretty good amount of time for them to get back to me. To the point that I had to reach out to them on Facebook to get a reply. After some back and forth with customer service they made that offer (shipping/4pack). I countered and offered to buy another 2 cases if they would replace the 17 cans that were damaged and waive the shipping. They declined the offer and that's the last I've heard from them.

 

EQ’s going to have to prove themselves before I make another purchase.

 

Replying to my own question, EQ advised they are sending me a replacement shipment. Assuming it contains my full order and arrives intact, I'll be happy, but this thread has left me hesitant to give them any repeat business. Between the Russian roulette game with IPA oxidization and their spotty customer service, ordering from them again just feels like too much of a gamble. Hopefully they get their stuff in order, because I've really enjoyed some of the beers I've had from them, and I'd like to feel confident in trying more in the future.

 

I can understand your hesitation to order again, quality issues not withstanding but, it is a good sign they did finally do the right thing here. I personally, wouldn't hold the delay in a proper resolution against them.

Do they ever release 2 at a time or are they always 1 by 1 with no way to double dip on pick up?

 

Energy Evolved was a real stand out for me. Highly recommend if you can still snag some.

 

The order has to be placed on their website by 11/11 and you can schedule a pickup 1 week out, so in theory you can stock up orders for for 11/18 pickup.
