Used to be people waited in line for beer, now beer being delivered to our doorsteps and people waiting in line for food!

What day? Drowned Lands in Warwick is a new brewery that does order online and curbside pickup, but they only do this on Saturday. I've only had 2 of their beers so far, but they were both impressive.

Should stop by Rushing Duck. It’s right on the way.

I’m always happy to talk up Rushing Duck. I’ve mentioned before how much I enjoy that place because I grew up about 10 minutes away, I’ve visited them since they opened and family and friends still live near there so I get to go back every so often. I saw they have a bunch of cans (including War Elephant) and crowlers ready to go.

This inventory MOVES. I swear some cans are up for what seems like 15 minutes before they've sold out.

This seems darker and a bit maltier than I remember. It’s still good, big time orange juice, but it seems different. It looks different.

This is from either February or March of last year. Also, I like the old label better too, lol

Definitely agree. Not that the color affects the taste, but certainly a but of the disconnect between color and flavor profile.

Other thing I noticed about these beers now that i can order an array via delivery. These are the “juiciest” beers I’ve ever had but not necessarily in the best way in my opinion, as I typically prefer a hoppier profile (Whale Watching from Finback being one of the best beers I’ve had lately).

That being said, when they amp up to triples, the beers are incredible as they marry the melon juiciness with hops. Mandelbrot is up there as another beer that is incredible and also one of the better ones, highly recommend.

Totally agree on the triples. I feel like their yeast is so distinct that it can be kind of overpowering without a huge hop/malt bill to balance it out, but when they do amp it up that much it can be pretty magical.

Yea I got a 4 pack of MC2 at my local store yesterday and I am thoroughly underwhelmed. Very sugary/sweet. I’ve had this beer in the past on tap a few times and these cans taste completely different.

Agreed that mc2 was a letdown and fluctuation was just good
