Oh no I bought a four pack of that today. Expensive too. Oh well, at least I like tea.

Looking at the can, it’s only 9 days old, so that’s good.

I'm gonna go ahead and say that dHop21 is better than fluctuation IMO.

EQ switched to their new, larger system a few months ago so I would assume they are still working the kinks out. With that said, knowing the guys at EQ, they will get it right.

I don’t mean to pile on but the last few cans I had were borderline undrinkable. Sweet, rancid flavor overwhelmed (think way overripe fruit). I’m probably in the minority given how fast their beers have been selling out but I miss the MC2/Fluctuation of old.

That lingering taste of cantaloupe and overripe mangos is the #eqjuice finish. Pretty much all of their ipas have it these days.

I got some of the recent batch of fluctuation from 2 weeks ago. It was enjoyable, but not the dank citra bomb that I remember. As someone that loves Nelson, I thought Kiwi was one of the most enjoyable dipas they've put out recently.

Judging by the sales and untappd ratings I don't think Equilibrium is worried about the 3 people in this thread.

    Lol, why would they be?

Judging by the fact that you created an account just to come to their defense you seem to be worried about the three people in this thread calmly expressing a personal opinion.

My thought: I can't believe that Eqtroegs 1-21 were already taken.

Ordered a mixed case of Kiwi, Vitamin C-4 and Fluctuation.

Fluctuation was certainly not the beer I remembered it being but not bad by any means. C-4 tastes like a run of the mill NEIPA. Kiwi though is fantastic. Real soft.

Hey who here remembers when Equilibrium first started canning and some people were all "the beer is great, but the can art needs work" and everyone else dogpiled onto anyone with that sentiment with "tHe OnLy ThInG tHaT mAtTeRs Is WhAt'S iN ThE cAn" and wouldn't entertain, let alone accept, any critique about their packaging?

I do. Glad to see how far they've come with their can designs (amongst everything else they've gotten better at!). That argument in particular was one of the more frustrating things to read through though.

I do too, the beer has been way (WAY) better since the can art improved. But way to bring up an old and irrelevant topic that you found endlessly frustrating that never won a consensus opinion either way...Im sure it won't be retreaded.

Has any one else been receiving oxidized ipas from equilibrium?

So far dhop1, mc2, and harvester of simcoe have been pouring muddy and lost the hoppiness. The others i have had in the last two weeks have tasted well; enso, both south streets, roowaka and fractal riwaka/citra.

It's a known issue. Pete posted about it in the Facebook group. I would contact them.

How does EQ go from no limit on their “currently highest rated beer” to 1pp on a non BA stout?

One of the local stores by me in Milltown has Mc2 for $30. That's outrageous. They are known for price gouging though.

Speaking of, MC2 seemed on bit sweeter side. It had a more muddied flavor to me? As in, you couldn't really taste the hops it was just thicc, sweeter flavor to it.
I had similar reaction to the fluctuation from the may batch.

    However, Dhop21 was fantastic.

Jesus. When people stop paying $30 (or more) for 4 packs of beer that’s not really any better than other similar beer, then places will stop charging these ridiculous prices.

Got a 4 pack of Wavelength this week. It is thoroughly underwhelming.

For me, it is hard to be too underwhelmed for anything coming in at 6.5%. I have not had a lot of EQ and never had Wavelength before but I think it tastes great for that ABV. That said, got my first big shipment of different beers from them and so far get the feeling that they have a pretty distinct profile that spans all their beers that I have had so far. Much like Treehouse. All good beers so far, but something a bit similar to all of them. However, there were no TIPA's when I ordered and I would have stayed away from those anyway.
