@NewmansOwn Soft Baked Squares actually sounded really good, so I'm curious to hear what you think. I didn't go for it since I don't want to make a 2 hour round trip for a few bottles since I have no interest in their hops right now, which I guess is the situation you're in right now..

I only recall one beer ever seeming off from them. It was something on tap at As Is and didn't have their typical pungent juiciness, that EQ juice if you will. Other than that, I don't think I've ever had an issue.

I missed ordering my Almond Pop bottles while the option on their order page was still listed. It was super easy to reach out to them and get my bottles. They just added them to an order of dS/dt. Both Almond Pop and dS/dt were great.

How much do EQ cans usually cost; around $25/4pk on average correct?

A small part of Georgia started getting limited distro of some of their beers. So far I have seen nultiple 4-packs of double IPA's for $32.99 + tax and there are a handful still on the shelves.

No one in NY actually pays anything close to that right? This isn't even a triple.

Just as an examples dHop2 is one of the beers for $33 + tax

I have drank a ton of EQ beer over the years I never remember paying close to $8/can/4-pack

EQ IPAs will typically go from $16 to $24 depending on adjuncts, ABV, etc. $30 dollars in Georgia is just shipping/distro and secondary retail price.

I'm going to try and score a bottle of this new BA Blue Islands since it sounds impossible to screw up, but I've been burned twice over the summer by oxidized IPA cans from them so I might forgo it despite the hefty flat rate for a single bottle.

Hmm, thanks. I expected some mark-up but it just caught me a bit off guard because I have traded for it a ton of times. I am glad it is available in my market at all for the moment.

    Cheers.

That's often the way things end up getting marked up locally though not always as @SpinSamzo points out.

For comparison, Grimm cans at the brewery: $20 a 4 pack. Grimm cans at a bottle shop: often ~$7-9 a can plus tax. I don't bemoan the price as I'm happy to walk a block and get one or two to try, as well as understand they're not getting a huge discount after it's been through the distributor's hands, but I do think I've paid 30-35 a 4 pack a few times at bottle shops during the past few months.

Yea the retail markup here can be crazy, especially for stuff like EQ. I used to be fine regularly taking a 45-60 minute subway ride to avoid it, but now that you can't hang out and drink at most breweries, it's been too tempting to resist buying from bottle shops or bars selling to-go, especially given the uptick in quality (or at least reputation) of the breweries in distribution.

Their stouts have been all quite amazing despite the QC problems with the cans.

Was it really gone that quickly? I had it in my cart and had all my info in, but decided not to pull the trigger at the last second.

I snagged one, no bot. That was probably the hardest one to date. They really need to stick to the surprise drops for these stouts. Give people time to prep and it’s always a shit show

Idk whats worse, the snake jokes at D96 or the EQ bot jokes. Does anyone seriously think people use bots?

Based on IG and FB posts, I'm assuming storing your address and credit card info in Chrome is over the average craft beer enthusiast's head. So, it has to be bots.

I don’t think anyone drinking their beer (myself included) has ever tasted snake fruit.

Picked up a bunch of 4-packs of Photon earlier and they $13.87 each.

Presently their doubles range in price from $16.65-20.55 a 4-pack.

Also, if you preorder for pick up they make you agree to immediately chill the beer in a cooler. Seems like their delivery service may not have been doing this which would cause off flavors.
