My family recently agreed for my son George to have more major surgery in the hope to increase functionality in his arm...

This made me reflect and inspired me to do another charity LIF… The one back in 2013 was a massive success raising £2,412.30(GBP), this time around I’d love to raise more and have more boxes to send out!

Links from the previous one below

    https://www.justgiving.com/kaufmanised/

It’s going to be like all the other LIF’s but with a difference… I’m combining this with the Mikkeller 5km run after the Copenhagen Beer Celebration!

Everyone who enters will also pick a time they think I can run the 5km in and the closest will get a surprise box, but be warned I am fat, out of shape and I’ll be hungover after 3 days of drinking beer!

But most importantly this is to continue raising awareness on a global level about Obstetric Brachial Plexus Paralysis commonly known as Erb’s Palsy…

Erb’s Palsy is a condition which, mainly due to birth trauma, can affect 1 or all of the 5 primary nerves that supply the movement and feeling to an arm. Each baby’s injury is individual. The paralysis can be partial or complete; the damage to each nerve can range from bruising to tearing from the spinal cord. Some babies recover on their own however some may require specialist intervention.

George has Erb’s Palsy in his right arm, which means that, he has virtually no use in his shoulder, arm or hand. Due to his disabilities his activities of daily living are profoundly difficult. He is now 6 years old but struggling with things his 4 year old brother does with ease like getting dressed, cutting up his food and so on!

Imagine trying to do your daily tasks one handed

The charity I am doing this for is Erb’s Palsy Group,

They have been brilliant over the years with support for my family and guiding us in the right path and providing information. Not only that, they bring families together with children and adults who have Erb’s Palsy for fun weekends away! Most of all they are always there for support.

They also hold education/training days for professionals to attend to increase awareness and understanding of this condition and help reduce the incidence of this traumatic, preventable birth injury.

So in the name of George and everyone else who has Erb’s Palsy, my friends and I are giving away some awesome beers.

I will stick with the previous LIF’s of for every $10 (£7.50) donation you’ll have one entry into a raffle for the below beers. This means if you donate $50 (£37.50), you get five entries, etc.

All boxes will be posted to anywhere in America and Europe

    First Box
2 x Cantillon Fou Foune and Cantillon balloon Glass

    Second Box
Rare Barrel Map of the Sun, Rare Barrel Forces Unseen & Rare Barrel Shadows of Their Eyes

    Third Box
5 x 750ml Hill Farmstead Growler fills and a Hill Farmstead Glass

    Fourth Box
Hill Farmstead Nordic Saison, Grassroots Convivial Suarez & Grassroots Brother Soigné

    Fifth Box
Hill Farmstead Nordic Saison, Grassroots Convivial Suarez & Grassroots Brother Soigné

    PLEASE DONATE to: https://www.justgiving.com/beerrun

This way the cash goes direct to the charity without me having to handle the cash.

In order to maximize potential giving, this LIF will be open until Midnight (PT) on 3rd May 2015

When donating please include your BA name
If at all possible, please donate in GBP £££

    Thank you everyone

Going to put this LIF on hold until @RayOhioFelton one is finished... I didn't realise there was one already going on when initially posted in ISO/FT part of the forum.

Don't hold off because of me and let me know when you are up and running. I'd love to help out. I know how important it is to do something positive for your child!

This LIF is still on hold, as i stated in the post below.

I didn't realise that one was ongoing and i don't detract from that good cause.

I will re open mine once Ray's is completed, hopefully by then i will have more boxes organised

i have noted the three donations already received.
