Any estimated time of arrivals here in Texas for the following beers (they usually come out this time of year): 1. Sierra Nevada Estate Homegrown Ale; 2. Sierra Nevada Northern Hemisphere Harvest Ale; 3. Great Divide Fresh Hop Ale; 4. Deschutes Hop Trip Pale Ale Also, I think Deschutes has a new fresh hop IPA set to be released this fall.
Both the Great Divide and the Sierra Nevada typically show up after the fresh hops have faded. The Great Divide usually shows up after the Sierra Nevada. Then they sit on the shelf for another 6 months or longer. If they showed up sooner I would be very interested in purchasing a bunch of each. Because of that I typically trade for my fresh/wet hop beers so I can drink them like they were meant to be drank.
I don't know where the f you're shopping... but in Austin we get Sierra Nevada dated 1-2 weeks from being bottled. Check out Gabriel's in SA... they've got fresh stuff. Heck, an HEB with good foot traffic should have fresh SN. Great Divide not so much, usually. Their distro is admittedly a little slow.
We're expectng the SN beers very soon, hopefully next week. The Deschutes beers are still waiting on label approval. No word on GD yet.
Checking in from Houston to confirm fresh Sierra Nevada. The only thing that was slow to market was Beer Camp.
My #1 beer store is Gabriels. I usually go there once or twice a week along with Central Market. I've had a pet peeve with the slow distribution of the fresh hop beers that make it into TX for a few years now. These brewers go the extra effort to fly in a load of freshly picked hops to the brewery. Then the beers get distributed very slowly into the San Antonio market most of the time. Which sort of defeats the purpose of going the extra effort the brewers made flying in the fresh hops.
Hop Trip and SN Northern Hemishere landed at Halls in DFW late last week I believe. I'm sure others have them or will have them soon as well.
Any stores in Tarrant County (i.e. Hall's, Central Market, Whole Foods and/or others) currently stocked with Sierra Nevada Estate Homegrown Ale?
No. Ive seen the Northern Hemisphere Harvest and GD Fresh Hop, but no SN Estate nor Deschutes Hop Trip/Chaisin Freshies. This includes Halls, Whole Foods, and CM Southlake among others.
