made an unsolicited trade offer. been a couple of days and no response. i guess my question is , how long til i persue another trade. i'd hate to agree to another trade and then have 1st person get back to me. last thing i wanna pull is a DICK MOVE. thanx in advance

Did you agree on a trade or just made a trade offer? has the other person been online since the offer?I think if its just an offer and not agreed upon trade and youre not getting a response than shop whatever btl you have around. Hope this helps....CHEERS

I'm pretty sure it's ok to move on. Chances are if they haven't gotten back to you yet, they are not interested and it's ok to pursue another trade. Worst thing that could happen is they finally answer you back and you say you already have a trade set up.

Has the other person read your request or logged on in the past few days? If not give them a chance to ready your offer. If they have ready your offer I would still give them another day or two to respond just to be on the safe side, especially if it is a regular trading partner.

definitely move on. when i first started trading i used to send out a bunch of unsolicited offers to people who had beers i wanted on their trade lists. maybe half would respond, which is expected and no big deal.

You're fine to move on. I see you're a relatively new trader - unsolicited offers tend to get a low response rate in general, but one from a new trader is going to fail even more often. You're way better off just posting in FT:ISO.

On a similar note, what if you agree to said unsolicited trade offer, but then never hear back from them?

Lol I like that DICK MOVE is becoming a thing. I'm sure Mongo is more pumped though.

Speaking of response etiquette - what do you think is better, no response or permanently leaving the conversation?

I'll be the first to admit that I haven't responded to every query sent my way. I usually do, but for whatever reason every once in I while I don't, which is pretty lame on my part. But, somehow, I feel like the leave converstaion - ignore future messages move is an even bigger dick move. I guess it does get the message across though, unlike the limbo of a non-response.

    Your thoughts?
