Event Horizon - Charlotte, NC

    There is a special release at Duckworths on park road in Charlotte this saturday the 24th. It starts at 11am and you need to purchase a ticket to be able to buy bottles. They will tap kegs of it for the release. Thats all I know right now.

    For those craving EH in Charlotte, I was at Mac's Steele Creek yesterday and they have several bottles of 2011...$20 a bottle which given the standard bar markup I think is fantastic.

    I hadn't seen anything about having to purchase a ticket to get bottles. The email they sent out did not mention that which is strange. They said they were offering a breakfast at 11AM as well as a paddle of EH and other beers and then EH would start selling at noon. No mention of tickets. I was planning on showing up at noon just to pick up some bottles. Am I missing something?

    apparently Olde Hickory ramped up the Event Horizon production this year...

    Which means more Lindley Park next year which means they'll need to make more EVent Horizon the following year and then more Lindley Park again. I like this cycle.

    I've got 2010 and 2011. That is a pretty decent price on last year's bottles at Mac's.

    I hadn't heard anything about tickets either, for what it's worth.
