Event Horizon release date?

Wow, okay. I was admitting how it felt, and went out of my way to say I'm not picking on you and that it's just the way "some people" feel.

I don't remotely do that. I'm not buddies with any shop owners or on any lists; I buy what I can that hits the shelves and that's it. I love spreading around NC beer, especially OH, FH, and DR.

I just was being honest for a moment, tried to make clear I don't ultimately feel that way, and definitely made clear nothing was directed at him. But I'm not going to unsay those words, and I can't control if he wants to react that way.

 

I'm going to be getting to Charlotte on that Saturday and can take up some CCB to do an IP trade for these. Or if I can just get pointed into the right direction as to where I can pick up a bottle or two?

There are a number of good bottle shops in the CLT area. Wouldn't hurt to reach out to them (see the 'places' tab at the top of every BA page) and see what they are hearing on distro.

 

So this beer is not a brewery-only release, right?

Had no idea Olde Hickory sold ltd release stuff to TW. Chalk that one up, but that's a good thing TW are most everywhere.

TJs Beverage in Carrboro does a release party where you can buy it, and last year they had the only keg in existence (that I know of). No list, just show up and buy up to 4 bottles.

I dont think Total Wine gets this one, at least they didnt last year.

 

Don't think so either. But then again, I didn't think they'd carry LP until I picked up the last bottle the other day. Score!

 

grizz, as mentioned before. duckworths is hosting an evho release party. if you can find the time to make it, you can pick up 4 bottles, grab some breakfast made with event horizon, drink 60 different beers on tap( im sure they will have something extra special besides the evho vertical......last year they had Kaiser Crumudgen), participate in a bottle share (there must have been 50 bottles there last year), and make a bunch of new ba friends while trading the beers that we can't get down here. if there was a better opportunitny to kill two birds and get stoned, i haven't seen it. try to make it, it is a true BA event......on the horizon. cheers!!!

Whales, Whales and nothing but Whales. Just kidding, no bottles are required but if you bring a treat or two of something we don't get dist. down here, we won't mind. Bring some more bottles to trade, I'm sure there will be plenty of interest. I will be coming back from Charleston and hope to make it back in time. If so, I will grab a couple of bottles from the house in hopes to catch you up there. And don't forget, the legendary Brawley's Beverage is across the street.

 

ABB, where can I find more info on this event? I'm going to be in town for the release and would love to make it out to this.
