Events during BBF in Boston

    I am going to be in Boston during the weekend of Belgian Beer Fest and staying with a friend in Newton. Any cool events going on west of the city? I want to maximize my New England beer experience (I'll be heading to Maine and Vermont later in the week, also).

    If you wanna head to Lord Hobo in Cambridge:

    Wednesday Sept 11. New England Breweries Only (wink wink)
    Thursday Sept 12. OPENING EARLY. 3pm For 6 NEVER ON DRAUGHT Lost Abbey Beers (red poppy, cuvee de tomme etc). Followed by 20 Lines of Port/Lost Abbey.
    Friday Sept 13. OPENING EARLY. 12 Noon for SOUR MADNESS. Come get your PRE Night of the Funk ON.
    Saturday Sept 14. ZWANZE Day. Open at 11am. Toast at 3
    Sunday 15. LeftOver Beer Brunch

    There was Howe Farmstead IPA from Enlightenment. Good beer but thought that was code name for HF on tap.

    I thought it was a code name too. Was it even close to a "vermont style" IPA?

    I'm not even sure if that is a style or what that even means. It was a west coast hop bomb to me. Maybe it was an HF alias and everyone in on the joke is laughing at me.

    Yeah i know. I just don't know what a Vermont style IPA is. Is that a style? I think it was just a spoof. Still a good beer tho. Enlightenment is pretty underrated.
