While moving some bottles around in the garage fridge, I bumped the bottom of a Super Nebula on a shelf. The bottom of the bottle cracked off and I had 750ml of barrel aged stout on the garage floor. I still think the bottle may have been defective. The puddle smelled incredible.

Trois Poules Francais from The Bruery... took one sip, set it down, and my bulldog knocked the whole glass over. Pisser.

Recently was bringing back 12 Plinys in checked baggage and when I picked up my bag at baggage claim I could immediately smelled beer. Fearing the worst I opened my bag to find only 1 had broken. I was pretty relieved.

I feel like I have one of the worst of these and it happened about 6 weeks ago. My birthday was September 1st.

My girlfriend is not a beer snob, but she's a total nerd and she set out to buy me a bunch of the best beers in the world. She made a spreadsheet that aggregated the scores of the top beers on several different websites and then calculated the highest total scores and tried buy as many of those as possible as well as a few other little gems. This was about a 2 month long beer hunt. Keep in mind, she doesn't like beer, won't even drink it.

Obviously this was being done without my knowing for my birthday. One day, about 10 days before the day, she is really distant and agitated. Not with me, but I can just see something is really bothering her. She confesses that she bought me a bunch of beer and was storing it all in a big white box at her mom's. She had packed it in her car and was bringing it to her place and the bottom wasn't secured. Nearly every beer, except ONE, fell out and broke. Every bottle except one, ruined.

She showed me the list of what was in there. The beers in this box were as follows: Goose Island BCBS, Pliny the Elder, Boulevard BBQ, Fat Head's Headhunter, Abyss, BA Speedway, Avery Samael, Supplication, Consecration, Founders KBS. Swear on my life. And the only beer that survived? You guessed it. Samael. She was able to get a few of those again and is working on a similar haul now for Christmas, but this really broke my heart. And yes, I know, I'm very lucky.

Watched a guy break a couple bottles of dark lord in 2012 (not that dark lord is thaaaat great) and I more recently dropped a chocolate rain and broke it after tripping while walking up the stairs (luckily the fifteen didnt break as well... though I had a nasty bruise on my toe where I tried to catch it).

Just busted a bottle of Ninja V Unicorn and a Raspberry Tart. Not at all happy about it. Parabola hit the deck as well but the box it was in saved it from breakage.

Almost the same exact thing with my Westy 12. I was screwing around with the beers in my 'cellar' and my Westy 12 took a nose dive. Fortunately, it was just a nick, but it required immediate consumption. Glad I got to enjoy it. It was delicious, even at 10am.

I haven't broken any, but my friend who shipped 4 Pliny's out here to the east coast didn't wrap them well enough, so 2 out of the 4 were shattered. May the rest in many pieces.

I had to mop 5 times and wash the lower part of the walls. My wife mopped 2 more times when she got home.

A couple days ago I had just poured a bottle of Temptation into a glass that I just removed from the dishwasher. I took one little sip of the beer and decided that I would unload the dishwasher...

...so, i was reaching up into a cabinet to put away a bowl and on the way down my elbow hits the glass and **splash** beer everywhere. Not only did I spill an amazing beer (that cost $14) but it spilled all over the clean dishes...FML

Sure have, but not too often. I spilled a Piney The Elder while at the Beer Fest, last week. It even hurts to say that! Lightman1

My dog knocked out a 2012 Big Sound that I was packing to trade. I was livid, but luckily my trade partner was ok with me replacing it with other goodies. As for my dog, he now gets locked up in a room while I pack up trades.

My 2 year old son knocked over a HF glass filled with HF Citra all over the chair and floor. Didn't even take a sip. That was the last time I cried...

I keep forgetting Dieu du Ciel uses screw caps instead of pry-offs - I usually break maybe 1 out of every 3 or 4 I open trying to pry off the cap...
