Ever drink a sour bomber solo?

    Just wondering if anyone does this. My last attempt was a la folie and towards the end of my second glass my palate was toast. I'm really dying to get after a sour in the rye that I have in the basement but I'm afraid I will come up short in trying to kill it solo.

    I drink sour 750s solo. Rodenbach, The Willows, etc.

    I once drank a Sour in the Rye and a World Wide Stout back-to-back by myself. My taste buds still haven't forgiven me for it.

    Speaking of that night: anyone ever vomit up sour beer?

    Yep, although now it might be harder since I've been on meds for acid reflux ever since they found a hole in my esophagus about five years ago (thankfully healed!).

    I don't really get palate fatigue, this tends to give me wicked bad heartburn though.

    Cantillon 750s are mine mine mine. But as notes above, heart burn gets pretty bad, especially when I go to bed right after a 2 hour sour session.

    I kill 750s solo. None of my friends like sour beer. Also, I think I'm immune to heartburn. Never had it.

    I tried with Sour in the Rye and couldn't do it, had my gf help though. I always have a bowl of white rice on hand when drinking sours.

    I've only had one La Folie a few years ago, but that one I would describe as 'fetishistically sour'. Don't judge the rest by that one beer. I could drink Rodenbach or Cuvee des Jacobins all night long.

    Yes I have. I've consumed large format bottles of Lou Pepe Framboise and Marron Acidifie, and my best advice to fight the fatigue would involve adding some small snacks (cheese, crackers) while you drink.

    I thought the same thing until I solo'd a Wanderer, I thought I was dying of an ulcer. Ever since then it doesn't take much.

    Had a la folie lios of faith myself and it was delicious but I did get murderous heartburn ( but that happened to all the time so really mean anything)

    Had to kill a Love Child #3 and a Sour in the Rye all on my own in a single night. It was rough, but it had to be done.
