Ever get a bottle without a label?

I had a very curious scenario today, and I'm interested to see if anyone else has ever experienced this.

This morning, I picked up a six pack of one of my favorite fall seasons. This afternoon, I took one out, poured it, and enjoyed. Someone then asked me "what are you drinking that doesn't have a label on it?" So I looked, and sure enough: no label. At all. The rest in the pack have two; one on the neck and one on the body of the bottle. The one that I'd opened had the same bottle cap as the rest, and printed right on the bottle were the same date and production code as the others (where it appears on the label, but not the bottle). But no label at all; not even bits of adhesive to suggest that it'd been ripped off.

Has anyone else ever ended up with a bottle like this? I'm worried or concerned; it was the same delicious beer. I'm just curious since I've never encountered a commercial beer without a label on it before.

Yes, a few times. I never really thought twice about it though.

It's more common than you'd think. Hardly a week goes by when I don't have at least a couple unlabeled bottles on my desk waiting to be swapped out by a distributor. In fact, there's an unlabeled Creme Brulee and a Schlenkerla Helles sitting here now.

Only once, but I don't think this will ever happen again. It led to a lot of meme'ing.

I found a bottle without a label at the liquor store but the cap said Twisted Pine so I was intrigued. When I went to ask what it was, the clerk had no idea but said he would sell it to me in a pick-6 pack. I then picked 5 other and bought it. I decided to drink that one last and after 3-4 into the pack I stopped pouring them into a glass. I opened up this mystery beer and took a giant sip. YUP...turns out someone must have been playing a joke because it was Ghost Face Killah (a chile beer)

I absolutely hate hot stuff. I go to buffalo wild wings and if I feel like being dangerous....i get parmesan garlic.

Bought a case of Bourbon County Coffee a couple years ago, two bottles in the case didn't have labels. Still drank beautifully.

Yes, on purpose. I knew what it was and have a feeling the label was intentionally removed due to it's "drink by" date. It tasted awesome.

I almost wish someone would hand me beers at a bar with no labels. It would spice things up and it will give me an unbiased view on what I'm drinking. No brewery favoritism.

Love Weyerbacher but they are infamous for bottles missing labels.

Terrapin Moo Hoo and Wake N Bake were both being cleared out last March at Total Wine in Tampa. I bought a bunch of 4-packs of each at $3.99 (stealth gloat). Took out a bunch of each and put them in the fridge... noticed a week or two later, that one of the bottles had no label. I had no idea which one it was.

Got to take home an unlabeled Brewer's Art La Petroleuse and I have an unlabeled Hof Ten Dormaal/Stillwater Bronze Age. Also had an uncapped Pumking in an unopened case the other day. We tried it, it tasted like Pumking, just flat. Wonder when it left the brewery

Fount a Triton Dead-Eye Stout without a label at work. It happens from time to time.

My first Double Crooked Tree had no label, I assumed that's just how they were sold, took a pic on Untapped and all. It was just as delicious as the other three that came label-equipped.

Just happened to me recently. Not sure, but I think it might have been Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. Not that unusual.
