I had a conversation with him and he was arrogant, insulting and confrontational. Just didn't like his personality and attitude. Not the type of person I like to support. Maybe he was having a bad day but I've heard similar comments from others.

I see, I understand your feeling if that's how it went. Another brewery mentioned here can be a bit aggressive on social media - so I tend to stay away.

That's a sweet deal OP. No I have not had a dealing like that with a brewer. However I have recently had 2 similar things happen. I ordered Cards Against Humanity and in the shiping one of the boxes for an expansion was torn. They refunded me. Also, I built a new computer over the holidays and the front fan on my NZXT phantom case started to make weird noises. They sent me a new one just like that. Their cases are a little $$, but top notch and worth it IMHO. And they have awesome customer service.

My former favorite local brewery turned me off big time with this. I made a post on our local Beer subreddit regarding bottles i purchased from their release being infected. They straight up had a Diacetyl taste that ruined the beer. I guess one of their buddies saw my post since i was asking if anyone else had issues, and they responded saying "hey send me an email and we will make it right!". So i sent them an email and they never responded or did anything. Basically made it look like they wanted people to think they were making it right but never actually did anything.

I was a huge advocate of their beer, but there is plenty of other local beer out there with brewers who actually care.

so far your comments arent really pertinent to this thread... you called him a douche bag, and it really seems like you dont like him. did you have an experience with his beer that relates to this thread where he wasnt willing to help you out?

Yep. Don't want to go into detail but I regard Greenman as one of the most responsible and personable/friendly breweries I have ever come in contact with. Can't say enough about their staff.

Perennial took care of me in the best of ways (Stickers and bottle hook up) when I bought a bottle of infected Fantastic Voyage which I thought was cool of them. I didn't bother to bug 'em when I tried 2 more bottles and a draft and they were all infected. :slight_frown: I've yet to have a bottle that wasn't sour-powered.

I got soured versions of Almanac's Heirloom Pumpkin Barleywine, emailed their customer support, and they responded right away.

They ended up sending me two free beers, a wooden bottle opener, glassware, coasters, stickers, and a coupon. It was freaking awesome and I am a dedicated customer now.

Yeah - I was talking to him about his beers local availability and pricing. I had a genuine question about local pricing and he was not helpful. He was the opposite of helpful actually

I thought my experience aligned to other posts I saw about customer service awesomeness/suckiness

Atwater brewery does not win in this catagory. They could give a shit about putting out bad beer and could care less to respond when you complain.

Atwater if you read this YOU CAN SUCK IT!

Have had Oso take care of me when I got under or un carbonated beer. Central Waters has always been a winner with the infected PM. I just wanted to post because I hate Atwater! So glad they don't distribute to WI anymore. Keep that crap in MI.

No, at least 2 that I can think of, and both really did not give a shit.

    Cheers!

Yes, all of these sent me items all because I contacted them regarding issues with their beer:

    Bootlegger's
    Odell
    Deschutes
    Half Moon Bay
    Fort Collins

NOPE with Hair of the Dog. Notified them a bottle of Fred was hopeless. No carbonation. Same shipment of Blue Dot also lacked carbonation and had a strange flavor. Their response was that was the chance you get with bottle conditioned brews Yeah. They won't see my $ again.

Glad to see most breweries taking care of their customers.

About 25 years ago I bought a 12 pack of Coors and the caps were loose and the beer had gone flat. I called the customer service, they sent me a great sweatshirt and a letter stating if I ever make to The brewery, they would make it right. I saved the "Golden ticket" and 10 years later made the trip. I don't think I've ever had such great customer service.

Entirely possible, I didn't pursue it. But as I said, I just have a personal opposition for providing free advertising for businesses by wearing their stuff.

Yes. Had an issue with a bad batch of Sculpin. I emailed Ballast Point and got a response within 30 minutes from the President of the company. He resolved my issue that same day, and that is why Ballast Point is one of my favorite breweries. Oh and they make some damn awesome beer as well.

Dieu du Ciel! : found a glass shard in one bottle, Head brewer wrote me back, in the same day, apologizing and offered me four 6 packs!

Dunham: a bottle had a carbonation issue and they offered to pay it back to me. I didn't took their offer since the beer was still good, but that was great Customer service on their part.

CCB refunded in full my ticket price as well as a few thousand of my friends at an event they put on a little over a year ago due to some technical difficulties they were experiencing.
