I recently put down some money for a new brewery called Device Brewing Co. through kick-starter. This brewery has a pretty awesome beer line-up and its opening pretty close to were I live. You can check them out here: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects...ng-sacramentos-original-nano-brewery?ref=live Has anyone else ever funded brewery like this before?
A group of us homebrewers are getting to brew on pro kit as a thank you for a $2500 donation. Great thing to do; support locals!
I gave a small donation to Los Angeles Ale Works' successful Kickstarter campaign. They recently installed their first pieces of equipment bought with that money. They put the names of donors on the first tank (including mine). It will be cool to drink beer that I know was made in it. I wish I could have been on the ground floor supporting pipeworks, who got their start in a similar fashion. Wasn't into beer back then unfortunately.

Now this looks like a cool idea. If there's a new brewery doing this nearby, I'd certainly consider it.
Batch brewing in Detroit. They are slated to open very soon. They received 75K for a kickstarter and 50k for winning a local 'best of' contest.
I contributed to Modern Times Kickstarter after stumbling across the founder's business plan a year or so back.
FwB FTW. I have backer coupon #76. can't wait until they open the bottle shop so i can use the damn thing. Best $100 i ever spent.
