I'm not a session guy, think they are mostly boring. I need more. Recently I received some session Founders All Day IPA and some Smuttynose Finest IPA. Even though I like IPA's a lot I'm not crazy about either of these on their own, even though they are both well rated here.

However, I find if I take one of each and pour them into a half growler the quality pour I get out of the container is more than the sum of its parts. Anyone else ever try this, if so, what did you mix?

I often mix beer with video games, pizza and self loathing. It's delicious.

The other night my wife had some fresh brewed pomegranate citrus cold tea. For whatever reason I decided to pour some into a citrus saison (Une Annee Less is More) and it was awesome. Definitely going to do it again, and will be great in the summer.

Heaven and hell once. World Wide Stout and 120. It was interesting, to say the least.

On New Years Eve we mixed a bomber of Lindeman's Cuvee Rene with a bomber of Lindeman's Framboise. The Framboise is usually way too sweet for my taste. Figured the sour in the Cuvee Rene would offset it a little, which it did. Pretty good mix, liked it much more than Framboise on it's own, but not as much as Cuvee Rene on it's own.

Brew Kettle's White Rajah mixed with their Black Rajah is really good. I guess it is a "Grey Rajah".

My favorite two to mix is Lancaster brewing company's milk stout and there hop hog. There both pretty good alone but together they are outstanding!

Petrus Oud Bruin and Weyerbacher Blithering Idiot. I do so truly enjoy both singularly but one night I decided to mix the two and it turned out beautifully. The mix was about 60/40 in favor of Petrus.
I want to try a Lindemans Frambois and a Samuel Smiths Organic Chocolate stout and had planned to do so for Christmas Eve but was unable to find the Frambois for the life of me.

What a funny thread! Yesterday I was going to (jokingly) post a thread asking if anyone had ever taken a bad beer and mixed it with a good beer as to not waste money and/or beer. Deciding not to deal with the rash comments of the very serious BA brethren I chose against. This isn't actually the question I was going to pose but very close!

Except for the occasional black & tan...no...I never mixed beers.:confused::sunglasses:

Try Founders Rubaeus 1/4 and Founders Breakfast Stout 3/4

Also try a berliner weisse 3/4 with Founders Rubaeus 1/4 or other fruit beer.

This one is a winner. I love both beers by themselves, and I'm generally not too keen on blending perfectly good beers, aside from the occasional black and tan. Quite a tasty treat though.

Potentially brilliant! I must try that (or something similar, since I can't get Sea Hag) one of these days.

I dabble in some blends... Last night I mixed about 70% Cherry Adam from the Wood (2014, no carbonation) with 30% Bell's Cherry Stout and it was delicious!

Beer blending is going to be the next "big thing" in craft beer. I started doing this after buying sampler packs. I do not appreciate some styles of beer like porter and stout but, if I mix with another style I do like, then it becomes more palatable. Plus it's just plain fun to experiment this way.
