Just had Ithaca's Flower Power from a keg and I prefer it in bottle. On tap, the pink grapefruit is so dominant and pronounced that it loses it's creaminess a bit. I love bitter, heck Fernet Branca is in my liquor cabinet, but I like the balance from bottle for this beer.

Anyone else prefer a beer in bottle or can versus tap?

Why is that? Is it the yeast sediment?

Almost always. But part of that may be I have more control over the drink when it comes from the bottle (in terms of temperature, proper glassware as I usually get tap beer at bars/restaurants, freshness, etc).

I thought KBS was better in bottles than on tap, bourbon flavor was more prominent.

Most strong dark Belgians taste better to me out of the bottle they ferment in than on tap.

There are definAtely days where popping the top of a SNPA rivals that of waiting at the pub for a new keg to be swapped out.
Sometimes it's just "gimme that shit stat!" And down the hatch it goes.

I prefer the bottle because I have more control over the temperature and serving of the beer (glass/pour). And I don't have to worry about whether or not the lines have been cleaned.

Since there is almost no good beer on tap anywhere in this town I almost always drink bottled beer when I go out

Nope. However, I can see how certain styles may lend themselves better to a bottle. But, any of those I can think of I've only ever had in a bottle.

I always prefer out of the bottle on limited releases because I can decide where and when to drink them:wink:
