I had Green Flash Rayon Vert the other night and was surprised on how good it was for the cost ~ $10/4-pack considering its bottled with Brett. Any other suggestions on another Brett beer that wont break the bank? (either full on Brett, or bottle conditioned).

Rayon Vert would be my first choice as well if you are looking for Brett on the cheap. Orval is a better beer and easy to get, but a little more expensive.

GI Matilda, especially with at least a few months of age on it.

I will take any of Crooked Stave's regular shelf beers over anything anyday. Yes, they are $5-6 a bottle, but well worth it.

A 2010 Matilda is probably one of my favorite all time brews. I had it about a month ago and it blew my mind.

Rayon Vert has always been my answer, but it's now $13-14/4-pack here in Boston. Shit is ridiculous.

However, Victory has come to the rescue. Helios, their saison, has a nice light bretty funk to it. It's not aggressive, but some bottles definitely bring the funk. Oh, and it's $4/22oz even here in the city. I'm thinking about a case.

Nobody likes a smartass. I've been homebrewing for a long time and like to pitch brett into my leftover wort (1-gal jugs)...but I really don't owe you an explanation.

...nice response and way to be a douchebag. Seriously don't get how a simple question can attract such a snide remark.

Sofie doesn't have Brett? I thought it had both brett and lacto/maybe pedio from the wine barrel aged component? Agree that it's incredible, though. A crappy liquor store down the street from me had a bunch of 2010 Sofie 4-packs they couldn't move. I bought them all up and could not have been happier about it.

    My current Sofie stock:

    3 22oz 2011
    4 4 packs and 1 22oz 2012

I think the only thing snide here is your ridiculous overreaction to this person's comment. Brett beers tend to be so expensive that the cost savings of learning to brew them well yourself is extremely tempting.

Major overreaction bro. I mean, I guess he could have said "Perhaps you should dabble in the joys of homebrewing, where people often find that they can economically produce a delicious beer that suits their tastes."

It's not snide or smartass at all. It's a pretty valid suggestion, stated succinctly.

Maybe you could use some of that homebrew to wash the sand out of your vagina.
