No worries, those are cold conditioned. The FW 805 mentioned above, I would think not so much.

SN nooner is my go-to that is always in my fridge. Lately I've had bottles of various Schlenkerla brews rotating in and out as well, and since its that time of year again I have a half dozen bottles of Celebrator between cellar and fridge as well (though, to be fair, I'll drink that stuff year-round). Celebrator's higher on the ABV scale but so damn drinkable I don't care :grinning:

I do enjoy various other stuff from the Germans too, like Hefe/Pils/Helles from Weihenstephaner, Ayinger, Andechs, etc., but I don't pick them up as often during winter since shipments seem to slow down and thus freshness becomes harder to count on.

I don't usually drink Lagers, but when I do its Yuengling.

I try not to drink everyday but when I feel the need for a weekday beverage I aim for Prima Pils and or Yuengling.

Nooners, Weihenstephaner Pils or Lager, Sixpoint The Crisp is all you need!

Hmm...there's a lot out there, so it's typically quite variable...

But regulars that have made their way into my fridge lately...

GLBC Eliot Ness. This used to include The Wright Pils and The Doppelrock, but those no longer see bottles, due to the anti-lager sentiment in US craftbeerdom.

Ayinger. As much of it as I can get, from Jahrhundert to Celebrator.

Schneider Weisse. Particularly the eisbock and the weizenbock. Aventinus, why do you taste so divine?

    Weihenstephaner. Again, most of it.

    Triple Digit Gravitator, when available.

Hofbrau Dunkel, though that's usually consumed from tap at the local Hofbrauhaus.

When I'm in Iowa visiting my girlfriend's people, Exile Gigi and Boulevard KC Pils (neither of those make it to Cincinnati, but I'd buy the heck out of them if they did).

Taft's Ale House, virtually any lager they make. 27 Pils, Pedro Pacas Vienna, Red Bike zwickel - all quite decent. And alas, brewpub only, but it's not that far of a drive.

I wish I could find Mahr's Ungespundet as a daily beer, but alas.

Any lager from New Glarus(Two Women, Hometown Blonde, Edel Pils etc); and you still can't go wrong with Boston Lager.

I have yet another vote for Great Lakes Dortmunder Gold.
    Jever
    Sly Fox Pikeland Pils
    Shiner Black Lager
    Sixpoint The Crisp

I wish Notch would distribute to Pennsylvania. I think they would find a really good market here for their brewing style.
Wait, what's this about Jever in cans? All I see around me are the green bottles. Am I missing out?!?

Just finished my last Andechser Export Dunkel. Might be a while before I road trip to Germany again for my fill. Weihenstephaner Original is another. Augustiner Bräu Lagerbier Hell is another. All gone from my fridge.
In the USA, I'd say Great Lakes Dortmunder Gold. I don't have any of that either.
Right now in my fridge, the only lager is a lone bottle of Schiehallion from Harviestoun Brewery. Pretty good, but won't knock your socks off.

A number of tasty lagers have already been mentioned.

Some others I would recommend for when you next visit Buffalo:
    • Southhampton Keller Pils (summer seasonal)
    • Anchor California Lager
    • Stoudts Pils
If you would ever consider drinking an AAL: Yuengling Lord Chesterfield Ale.

    Cheers!

Yes, we in the US all are. :slight_frown: Note @AugustusRex's location, where Jever is available in 500ml cans.

IIRC, Canada also had canned Pilsner Urquell long before the US did. In general, US importers (and distributors and retailers) do believe that the majority of US imported beer buyers continue to have both the "green bottle = quality import" and the "canned beer = cheap beer" prejudices. I guess we could write to Raven Brands...

Weinstephaner original is excellent, Brooklyn just came out with a "dark lager" called Insulated which is quite different from most lagers but is super delicious.
