I wonder if bottled KBS will be coming in a month too.

I would say no. We would be lucky to get KBS via keg.

Founders needs to bring it Firestone Walker-style.

If its true that there are only 10 kegs, chances are Whole Foods won't be one of the locations that gets one.

Why? They got a Sucaba keg. One of 10-ish.

Unlike FW, which was a much more concentrated release, I would be surprised if more than a couple kegs make it to Austin (assuming <= 10 for the state). Seems like there would be some beer bars more appropriate for a brewery roll-out than WF.

For what it's worth, I think it's slightly bad form to fill growlers of a beer that is a) hugely hyped, b) a first-time release for the state, and c) comes in 1/4bbl kegs. Edit: not bashing WF at all, just hoping that if they do get a keg, growlers are not an option.

Founders is statewide, not just 2 markets.

You haven't heard? They're recalling all Founders in the Houston area and sending to El Paso. They thought it was a better market, truer beer nerds and all.

I think I'm going to get shanked next time I'm down in Houston... and now El Paso.

Here is the amount of limited stuff that should make it's way to Austin. I don't have quantities on the regular lineup.

3 (1/4 keg) Hand of Doom
    3 kegs Imperial Stout
    4 kegs KBS
    3 kegs Curmudgeon

    Locations TBD

I would say its more than 10 with Austing getting 4. No solid evidence just speculation. That would then limit 6 kegs to 4 other markets. Numbers just don't add up.

Exactly this... Unless Founders is just another in a string of breweries that want to piss off markets other than Austin...

Ya probably more than 10 if Austin got 4. I'm really happy its here and all but in our mouths.

You take this all way too personally. I would think there are sales statistics or other reasons for why new breweries emphasize the Austin market more so than others.

    Austin - 11 bars
    DFW - 15 bars
    Houston - 6 bars
    Denton - 4 bars (???)
