Everything Founders in Texas

Yeah, it wasn't very hard at all in my case. I found out after the first day it landed, and managed to still score 7... Not trying to one up you lol, but I just figured I'd back you up on this one

 

I like KBS, but, IMO, its not worth the hassle. There's plenty of beers that are better and easier to get. I too have relatives in KC and Columbus, OH who regularly get beer got me. It wasn't worth asking them to make the trip for one or two bottles.

 

Dunno why people are bitching on Founder's FB page about not getting KBS...we'll get it next year.


Sugarland Saucer is tapping KBS next week anyways *shrug*

If I was in Founder's shoes and was greeted by people bitching at the brewery i work for after working my ass off to gain approval to distro in their state I'd chunk deuce.

 

I am up in Illinois right now. Most places around me (about 2 hours south of Chicago, like three good stores) have just released KBS, and only two bottles per. FBS, FIS, and most everything else just sits on the shelves. I really hope that is how the shelves in Houston/Texas look after the initial rush.

 

Obviously sir, you don't work with hospitality/customer service... constant bitching from a vocal minority is normal and expected.

 

Man, if FIS was sitting around here... I'd be a lot poorer. That's my favorite non-BA stout.

 

I worked in retail for five years, I know the ins and outs of it. It's just annoying we're finally getting something and other people are bitching for more...yet they also represent the craft beer community we're apart of.

 

Just out of curiosity what is the prices of fbs,fis?

About $10 per four pack, depending on where I go. Not a bad price at all IMO.

 

You're not missing anything. They're all along the lines of "Oh great! You send beer to Texas, and we don't even have as much as we need here! We dont love you any more!" Throw in a bunch of exclamation points, and some sad face emoticons, and you get the idea.

Basically "we want so much we can bathe in it before you send it to anyone else, and if this isnt how it happens, then you don't care about the people who have supported you for longer."

 

Are you guys for real about the KBS? That's really not a game I take lightly.

 

I remember reading that FBS will be switching to 6-packs this falls with NO CHANGE IN PRICE. Gotta applaud them for that.

 

For real in what way?

I'm for real that I love it and am hoping to score a glass at Saucer next week.

 

For real in the way that there will kegs floating around.
