Yes it is to people out of state. 'FT: OG Black Metal' always gets a good response.

You should be able to land either of those (perhaps adding a bit on your end, depending on the trade/trader). I traded an original black metal for 2x bcbs '11 recently. Back in the day I traded a 32oz growler of original black metal for Parabola.

Haven't tried the original lately, but I had it about 5 months ago and it was tasting great as always.

    Aging helps black metal.

It'd be hard to get Parabola or 2 x BCBS straight up right now I would think, but you never know.

I think 2 Black Metals might get you 3 BCBS. 3 Black metals might get you a 2 Parabolas.

It all really depends on the traders. I've gotten a FMB for a BM before, but it was the right person at the right time.

Aging doesn't necessarily help any beer.

I like how the hop mellows when you age it. I've had bottles that were aged for a year and it was great.

    Doesn't necessarily hurt it either.

was it still carbonated after that long?

I was going to add more to the statement, but there's plenty of threads on this site on the topic of aging X beer. It's like they say, get two bottles/cans if you can, one to sip fresh and one to potentially age, if that's what you want.

    oh, agreed

I've gotten pretty good about knowing what can cellar safely.

Black Metal is on that list.

And yes, after a year, still carbonated.

I've had OG Black Metals pop their top recently.
