If I had to compare El Cedro to another beer... it's sorta like Green Flash's Rayon Vert. It's not sour at all... it's funky. That horse blanket smell of brett with citrus and wood. The cedar actually was mostly in the background and not the foreground of the beer for me when I had it on draft. To summarize: funk. citrus. wood.

 

Goose Island, I'm sure. Bottle distro for TX is supposed to start tomorrow. Maybe both?

 

If you Houstonians get BCBS, I'm going to have to be jelly.

Oh yeah I forgot. Brandon straight up told me he was expecting goose island on Monday/Tuesday. I don't know if I'll bother getting a bomber. He'll have matilda, pere jacques, sofie, etc. Pretty much all of them except the Bourbon county line.

 

Yeah, he told me this a while ago, too.

Looks like #2 - Feb 2013 to me. The El Cedro I purchased at Stanley's is all Batch #01. I'm picking up a bottle after work so I'll confirm then.

 

Mine says "Batch 02 - Jan 2013"
