Should be able to take some sour bottles back from the pizza place so the trip will still be worth it.

Are there any plans for an event at the brewery during sxsw? I know there was something going on the last two years

Having it right now. Delicious. Seriously less hoppy than the new stuff (but then again, it was not very hoppy when it was fresh either), which makes me happy, since I am not into hoppy beers. Still pretty nicely tart, but not really funky.

The new versions just don't even taste like the same beer to me.

Stanley's Farmhouse Pizza next door to us should have some of our barrel aged sour beer on draft and in bottles.

We look forward to the day when we can hopefully operate a proper tasting room/bar out of our brewery like breweries can do in most places in the U.S. If that were the case, we'd have a broader selection of our beer available at the brewery, which would include our barrel-aged sour beer. As it stands now, we need to sell our barrel-aged sour beer off-site when it's ready to stay in business.

Wonderful. Looking forward to the visit, it'll definitely be fun to taste Salt Lick and El Cedro as well!
    Cheers.

Planning on heading out there this weekend myself. Tickets dont need to be bought in advance correct?

Also, I know during the anniv parties dogs were ok, any chance during the tours if they stay outside?

No need to buy tickets in advance (I don't think there is a way)

I've taken my dog out there a couple of times. She just simply doesn't get to go in the tasting room (use a leash)

I'll be there saturday. Going to bring down a BCBCS and some BCBS if anyone wants to crack open a few bottles.

Has anyone gotten both a batch 1 and batch 2 bottle of El Cedro and compared the two?

The bottle I got from D&Q was batch 1 and it had tons of cedar, much more than I remember it having on draught. Last night I noticed Spec's had batch 2 bottles so picked one up. Wondering if it'll be any different.

I had a pint at Stanley's a few weeks back (tap) - I thought the brett was more noticeable. I had a bottle a few nights back - I thought the cedar/hops were much more dominant and little brett/more farmhousey.

How that relates to batch 1, batch 2...it doesn't...so, sorry for being of no help.
