Was out there yesterday. Had a very good time.

 

To further my post everyone I talked to was super cool and friendly. The beers I got to try were all amazing. Pizza was good too and was happy to try a pint of funk metal which I'd love a bottle of if anyone knows where some is still sitting. Picked up an el Cedro and ru-55 to share with friends back home. Also guy in the tap room made fun of my non beer drinking friend for pronouncing Brettanomyces wrong which gave me a chuckle. He had never had a sour beer before and seemed to enjoy them. Will definitely make this something I try to do every time I'm back.

 

As far as the funk metal goes, give the HEB on Lakeline a shot. Saw 6 bombers sitting as of Thursday.

 

Specs ROund Rock still has TONS of Funk if you'll be driving north out of town - it's right off I-35 at exit 256

 

Currently enjoying a convict hill oatmeal stout. Everything I've had from Texas so far has been pretty solid. Lots of good stuff going on here.

My Deschutes Teku will fit a 12oz bottle with room to spare for head. They're probably around 14oz to the brim.
