I only had a few 3oz's samples of the batch 1 but I agree.

I prefer this batch though as I got more of that base beer coming through. Please let us know how the batch 1 bottles are coming along.

In other news FW got Buddhas today

I agree completely and was also bummed, as was my bf, who I've gotten into sours. Had to drink another sour to cheer myself up.

Whip In has Buddha's Brew again. Just picked up a bottle. $12.99 didn't seem to be a limit.

This bottle of batch 1 Das seems to be a bit better carbed than it was at the time of release and is definitely more sour than the batch 2, which was really only tart.
    Enjoyed both though.

Random WFM on Kirby? I take slight offense to that :slight_frown:

Since we got our gigantic new coolers in, I've had no less than nine Jester King SKUs on the shelf (and usually more in the back). I received the most Das Wunderkind! and initial drop of Godlandsdrika out of all of the other retailers in the area (except Spec's, but that goes without saying).

It may seem random to you, but I've worked very hard to turn the beer department into what it is today.

i think you took it to heart or i worded it awkwardly, regardless, you were the first and only retailer that i heard in regards to das shipment, the other was the heb on bunker hill that i found out about a few days ago. you were a "random" place to get it considering there are numerous other whole food's that have no clue whether they will get it or not.

i came by last saturday, new coolers looked great, but i still didnt get any das, onward to finding some lol.

I picked up two bottles of Das Wunderkind at WFM Kirby on Tuesday. No problems, and got to chat with Justin about a few upcoming beers. I don't know how that store has remained a secret but its the best beer department in the city, and it kind of pains me to say it because now the secret is out. Ill be there Monday for a bottle or two of something else (depending on stock).

Please don't bash my brains out with the Metal helmet of RU-55 :grimacing:, but are Funk Metal and Sour Black Metal the same beer? I don't recall SBM having Brett, yet I always thought these two were the same. Thanks for the help!
