Thanks. We'll make more Buddha's Brew. We'll likely do more with "Classic" Kombucha from Buddha's Brew, as well as some with their fruited or spiced Kombucha, perhaps cranberry or ginger.

As for our labels, the matte/metallic finish is the new norm for us. The labels we're using now also have a protective finish so they won't flake or wear around the edges like before. Lastly, over the last six months or so we've been using the best possible crowns we know of in terms of getting a good seal.

Found an old bottle of Das Wunderkind in the fridge Saturday. Hot damn that was good!

Is the current stuff much different? Still haven't tried one yet.

Any chance of JK doing a plain ole BA Black Metal w/o souring it?

I agree about how nice it is to see brewers reaching out to the public this way. I just wouldn't go hating on other brewers for not using BA. SO many brewers show thanks to the public and supporters through brewery tours and public events. Breweries are also businesses that give back to our local communities through charity dinners and the like as well. And let's not even mention the taxes paid....While TX may have really sucky laws as far as beer goes, we are blessed with our breweries. Jester King is on that list with many others, including plenty that don't choose to support the politics of BA.

I wholeheartedly agree with you. I just wanted to thank JK through BA for their use of BA to keep us up to date. However other breweries choose to inform the public isn't as relevant as is their choice and action of informing the public and being as transparent as possible.

My girlfriend also thought of that. It's a pretty obvious step.

That said, I want it a ton! Sadly I think the best result would be with English Yeast which isn't happening any more. :slight_frown:

Can't help but think the blueberry kombucha would make one hell of a sour...

JK brought a few bottles of Uberkind and Buddha's Brew with them to Chicago for a beer fest and self-distributed to a few liquor stores in late November, IIRC.

Sounds like typical waiting on label to clear business.
