I'm well aware of Das B2 and Funk, but this is the first I'm hearing of a 'strong' Das. Details?

It's called 'Das Uberkind'... here's the label. It's not even "officially" announced yet but it's a 6.5% ABV Vieille Saison.

I have been waiting for the Rodeo series to come to Whole Foods in Fairview, TX but the beer guy says that they don't think they are getting any special releases (they normally do) because their new rep for Jester King sucks and doesn't know what she is doing. Anyone know if Whiskey Barrel Rodeo is still available in Collin County?

I went to the open brew day event in October when they brewed BGR with Milkkeller. At that time, they had Farmhouse BM and Wytchmaker on tap. They also had OG and farmhouse versions of both beers in bottles ready to ship (mostly farmhouse IIRC). The farmhouse bottles were released in January. So my guess is that any OG BM bottles lurking around are at least a year old.

We started off brewing in September of 2010 with two strains of Saccharomyces - English Dry Ale and French Saison. Around October of 2011 we dropped the English Dry Ale yeast and now use French Saison as our only source of Saccharomyces in the brewery. We wrote a lot about this topic on our blog, so if you're interested, check out our blog.

Apparently Le Petit Prince is now being sold at Al's of Hamden, which just happens to be my favorite watering hole in central PA. Small world. :sunglasses:

The limited brews, do they rotate based on season (I understand they are not "seasonal") or what? I'm looking for Thrash Metal but don't see it anywhere.

Finally cracked a Weasel Rodeo. No carbonation. It's got a good taste, but nothing to write home about. The Beer Geek Rodeo was more impressive to me.

Thanks for the help, but the question still stands. How do they decide what to brew.

In regards to Thrash Metal their website states "Availability: When the mood strikes us". So i would assume no set season. However this stuff is still easily available in SA.

You guys weren't kidding about Weasel Rodeo... my bottle had zero carbonation. I might have to crack my last BGR this week to compare.
