You must be high on some palate altering drug, or you just haven't had enough of either beer.

I really really don't think that it's going to be any trouble getting bottles of this. There's gonna be 200 cases of each. If you found Boxer's Revenge last time around (the same size batch), most likely you'll find both of these. I just am an impatient man.

I'm really curious about this beer. I might actually look out for it.

Fair enough and honest. Even if you did think Boxers was better, more power to you. That's just like your opinion man.

I really enjoyed Funk Metal after it warmed up (a long process since I chilled it down pretty cold...was still a really slow foamer)

I couldn't help but think of Seth's thoughts on the slightly chemical taste when it was colder..I'm not saying something was off..just that I think I understand what he was pointing out a bit better although this is the first JK sour where I got that taste.

After the first pour there was no carb issues and in fact the prickliness added by the carb really accentuated the beer nicely and i drank a bottle myself with ease.

    Anybody drank an Uber yet?

I wonder if the "slightly chemical taste" is a brett flavor. If you find it a lot in sours but not Cascade that would probably be why. They only sour with lactobacillus.

Brett is not a souring organism though. I was thinking about this and it could be the water that they use.

Yeah... Brett is responsible for the term "horse blanket" or "funk" being applied to beers. Not really sour notes.

Believe it or not, Funk Metal is the first JK beer that even has Brett (according to their "BEER" page).

But it is used in almost all sour beers.

It isn't the brett. I only get the chemical taste from jk sours, and maybe a couple others. Most don't. A lot of homebrews do though.
