Still haven't been able to locate any Funk Metal... anyone in the Houston area seen any?

Beat me to it but yeah, on the floor, no bottle limits. It's a free-for-all baby!

Also got some of that Funky Funk Metal.

 

Well here's hoping some of it is left tomorrow because I'm up in Round Rock and can't get down there until then.

 

Should be a shipment coming through this week or next.

 

Picked some Funk from the D&Q last week. Got the last one during the RU-55 release.

Depends on the beer. Their sours have been knocking it out of the park (although I still don't like Boxers), but their Saisons and Farmhouse stuff just don't do it for me.

 

Damn, Brandon only got one case? I thought Boxer's was pretty widely available, yikes.

Gah, will RU-55 and Boxer's be common-ish on Houston shelves soon, or is this about all we get?

 

Boxers made it to the Specs in the Burbs last batch. I would think it's a bigger batch, but will have to wait for Jeff to confirm.

I doubt this batch will make it outside of downtown as other beers with similar case counts have been hoarded by Smith Street Specs ever since B2 Boxers.

I don't think anybody knows, but I'm hoping we see the same pattern as when Das Uberkind was released. I remember D&Q was the first to get Uberkind in Houston and it was super limited. A few days or a week or so passed by and then you saw tons of it everywhere.

 

Brandon always gets it first as he is the top JK account in the state (or so I've been told), and he can get the product on the shelf within 20-30 seconds.

 

He certainly doesn't have to deal with the stuff like setting up UPCs and shelf space.

He just does what he does.

 

Before everyone goes f-ing nuts, can someone at JK confirm the number of cases of Boxers this time? Just because you miss it at D&Q or Whip In doesn't mean it's the end of the world. I would suspect that Boxers is 200+ cases like the last batch, perhaps staggered (most places in Fort Worth got a case at first and at least a second one weeks later).

Perhaps a side question to the JK team. Isn't Boxers going to be the first limited beer to go year round(ish)? Or will that be Funk?
