Seriously, who is drinking a beer because of it's name? To each his own, but that has to be one of the dumbest things i've ever heard of.

Huh? what are you upset about? I never said I didnt drink the beer because of its name. I said I wish they had a more original name. And honestly I dont see why the brewery would not want a more original name, some people are easily confused and may mistake neighbor of the beast 667 for neighbor of the beast 668. Just sayin.

Uh, I think the chances of anyone who drinks NEBCO on a regular basis even knowing Lone Pint exists are minimal.

I didnt say you dont drink the beer because of the name, nor am i upset, just voicing my opinion. I dont get why anybody would complain about a beer's name. Thats like complaining about a vehicle's name. It's just so trivial imo, that it boggles me that anybody would even complain about the name of a beer being "unoriginal". They are beer makers, not artist. Want originality and creativity, go to an art museum. lmao

yeah, i'll subscribe to this. And vice versa for the most part.

It rubbed me the wrong, what's wrong with that? When I looked at a Flying Dog label and see a big, sloppy dog vagina, I'm not rushing to buy that, either. There's plenty of reasons why I wouldn't buy a particular beer, but if you think originality is unimportant in the beer game, then I can only assume that you enjoy drinking the same beer all the time.

I never said I don't think originality is important in the beer "game", I said I can care less in the originality of the beer "name". Huge difference

That Live Oak Hefeweizen is terrible, man! Such a massive lack of originality! :stuck_out_tongue:

Agreed. NEBCO got the name right. Lone Pint got the beer right. I love 667, but the name does irk me a bit. Yellow Rose is fanastic as well.

It's too bad that a cool name doesn't make a beer tast better but since it doesn't, who cares?

I had Yellow Rose for the first time yesterday. I can see why the demand for it is so high.

    agreed.

I went by the brewery yesterday. They have some nice glasses now. And different style shirts from their original one. Also pint glass koozies.

    I really like Gentleman's Relish.....

512 needs to work on the name for their IPA. So many others also have IPA in the name...:grinning:

I like brewers that just name a beer what it is. Make it less confusing at bars if they don't have the style listed.

I understand your jest though.

I understand your point and agree... really names just don't matter much to me either way... is it delicious.. that is what matters! Oh.. and do I look cool if I'm drinking it...of course.

Jabberwocky & Yellow Rose at Hopfields as of Sunday afternoon. Had the Yellow Rose after recalling this thread and was sufficiently impressed.

Just had Lily & Seamus on tap at Downhouse with tjmodica for lunch. A really unique Pale Wheat Ale. Plenty of hops with kumquats added. Very similar to Bells Oberon, and something I will be drinking more of.
