Actually they both came out around the same time and from different breweries. Both were trying to capitalize on Shiner's new success.

Had the Farmhouse and Bock yesterday in between many other big BA beers. Both where good. Surprised I liked the farmhouse considering I don't like that style. I don't like it enough to buy a 6'er but a single or 2 every now and then wouldn't be a bad thing.

Tried a new shiner that I've never seen before. Prickly Pear, it was ehh. Tasted good but lets just say it didn't taste much like a beer.

It came in the 6 pack samplers this year, so you either had to buy the 6 to get 1, or a place that sells singles

Agreed completely. The first year was meh. Last year was 4 cases in my pantry. Isn't as good with 6 months on it, BTW.

    This year was great too.

Farmhouse replaced the forgettable Dortmunder from the last two years.

If you're even in Plano Tx stop by Love & War. They had 6 Shiners on tap two nights ago, food is pretty tasty, descent live music. I had the Farmhouse, Blonde and Cheer.

Bohemian Black Lager is my fav from them, Can't really go wrong with that.

I can still drink a Shiner, Can't say that about BMC.

Just finished my keg of cheer the other day. It's good stuff. I had enough of it this year and don't want it for a while. I'm sure I'll pick up a six when it's out again this year though.

Wait, wait, wait... so that new (old) Shienr Premium is just a relabel of their blonde?
