This is how I feel too, Cheer is the only one I buy at stores and only 6 of them. Shiner bock is a nostalgic beer for me, but at the end of the day I would rather drink most other things

I also think people view them like Sam Adams, that because they are so easy to find they "aren't craft"

So how's that a bad thing? Furthermore, I think Shiner seems to have way more styles than Yuengling, no?

once you go past Shiner in the craft beer library, you will understand...

they are trying to keep up with a few new beers but....

I think with 75ish beers under my belt that I have a beginner to intermediate taste for beer. I thought the Shiner Pale Ale was good. That said, its the only Shiner brew Ive had.

Not a bad thing. Just a regional brewer that made good. Not what 95% of what people on here are looking for.

I was wondering if there was a thread here for Shiner love. I have become Shiner curious as of late, and was hoping to find some recommendations as to what to try. My local grocery will let me make a mixed six, and yes, I saw Shiner on the shelf. Nice to see plenty of recommendations, even if they are a couple of years old. Cheers!

This is what I was able to put together: 2 Bock, 2 White Hare Pale Ale, a Kosmo's Reserve and a Bohemian Black Lager. I was hoping for an FM966, White Wing or Ruby Redbird, but no luck.

Shiner is not the worse. The Wild Hare is not especially for the price. Enjoy
