Hamrick's posted that they have some Black Crack.

 

Did they happen to mention the price? They've been a little out of whack lately on prices...

 

No mention on the price, but if it's anything like what it has been for other limited offerings lately, I would expect to pay a few more bucks.

 

I picked up the last bottle I saw at Spec's Brodie @ $11.99, unless there's some hidden somewhere.

Got another coming in a trade, so it's nice to have one I can drink fresh.

 

I really need to get one of these for a partner but it looks like I am going to have to spring for an $18 price tag in College Station. Ouch!

 

I just picked up a bottle at Spec's Legacy for $11.99. They just put out a whole case without a bottle limit. Good Luck.

 

Drinking this right now... great bourbon nose and lots of vanilla in the taste... it's very thin though. I think if they were able to make this a bit thicker with a fuller mouth feel it would be a 5* beer. It's not very hot, just a small hit in the back of the throat... I wouldn't age this one myself... I don't think given the ABV and how mellowed it is now it will benefit much.

It's also not black. It should be called Really Dark Brown Crack.

I wouldn't pay 18 for this... 12 is pushing it.

 

It's not great...I wouldn't buy anymore at the price point I paid for it. Good...? Sure, but not 12 bucks a pint good...

 

If anybody struck out on this, I'm willing to trade one out IP for another BBA Stout - BM me if interested.

Also, what is up with Southern Star's wildly inconsistent labels? This one doesn't even have their logo on it.

 

What's with 500mL bottles is more what I'm asking. They've become weird over the last year with their beers.

I think they were working the can labeling machine on their special releases and finally snapped.

 

Hell, when's it come out and will they BBA this one?

Looks like some Black Crack is showing up in DFW - Mr Gs in Plano had some an hour ago.

 

Picked up Black Crack at Spec's Walnut, but there isn't anymore now.
